The Hammertone Link Necklace

This necklace may look similar to one of our old projects. We decided to redesign it because some of the items used in the previous project are no longer available. The necklace is 18" in length but you can increase the length by adding additional components.

Keep in mind the necklace shown is just a guide and you can add your own personal touch by arranging the components or by mixing in various shapes of the hammertone links.

Here we've used only oval shaped links and black bone o-rings which have been attached with the large jump rings. To learn how to work with jump rings, click here.

As for the pearl bead components, we used an eye pin and placed a 10mm Czech Glass Pearl, sandwiched between 8mm hammertone bead caps and made a loop at the other end to secure the parts.

When attaching the clasp, use 2 large jump rings to attach the toggle ring and 3 large jump rings to (all in a row - chain linked to one another) attach the toggle bar. This will allow for movement since the shape of this toggle ring is bulkier than most. Kudos to you... you're finished.

10mm Czech Glass Pearl beads (1 strand)

Bone O-rings (1 package)

Hammertone Small Oval Ring Links - (2)

Hammertone Oval Links - (2)

8mm Hammertone Bead caps - (8)

Hammertone Ellipse Clasp and Toggle - (1)

22 gauge Base Metal Eye pins - (1 package) - (Substitute Sterling Silver if you wish)

Rhodium Plated Pewter Large Jump Rings - (2 packages)
