A Jewelry Design Idea Using Chain and Findings
This bead project uses the heart piece of a plated pewter toggle clasp set. Just keep the bar around with your other findings... we're sure you'll find a use for this one in the future. Keep in mind these are available in gold finish if you prefer gold.
For the necklace, cut two pieces (even in length - you choose the length according to where you want the center to lay) of sterling silver chain. We choose the sterling silver cable chain - use either this one or one that is thicker. Attach, with an oval jump ring, a 6mm glass bead that has been placed on an eye pin. If you're not familiar with how to work with head pins and eye pins, refer to beading project 1.
Attach 2 hearts to 2 more of the secured 6mm glass beads. You'll then need to cut 2 pieces of the same chain. Make the lengths different so that one heart will lay higher then the other. Attach these chains to the heart and bead components and to the center bead as shown in the photograph.
